"Once again, one of West Michigan's most worthwhile and dependable cultural assets proved itself to be the Collective Soul. The high energy opening piece, Beethoven's 'Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus', has long been a personal favorite of mine. The confident direction of Maestro Marcelo Lehninger set the tone for a memorable evening. Royce auditorium provided an intimate and acoustically superior environment. My heartfelt appreciation to the musicians and everyone else who made this concert possible. I am glad I chose to travel 1,500 miles to experience what I knew would not disappoint, although I no longer live in Grand Rapids. I look forward to listening (online) to the rebroadcast of this concert on Blue Lake Public Radio on April 7th."
